YOUTH SPECIALIST (Huntington Beach Youth Shelter – Huntington Beach) On-Call.  Responsibilities include:  Work with at-risk youth at 24/7 Youth Shelters, in short-term crisis intervention program for children ages 11-17.  Supervise youth, lead educational and recreational activities, facilitate group counseling sessions, prepare meals, complete cleaning chores, and maintain facility.  Requirements include:  Must be available for overnight, weekend and various shifts.  Approved CPR and First Aid certificate required (may be completed after employment).  Experience working with at-risk youth or educational coursework in Psychology or Human Services related field and excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Bachelor’s Degree preferred.  Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. 

SUPERVISOR (Victim Assistance Programs- Santa Ana) F/T.
Responsibilities include: Day to day operation of Client Services for Sexual Assault Victim Services, supervising staff and interns. Respond to victims of sexual assault and their families to mitigate the impact of victimization and/or the case investigation and court appearance. Requirements include: Bachelor’s Degree in behavioral science, criminal justice, or related field and a thorough knowledge of sexual assault, the criminal justice system, and victimology. Excellent communication skills and proven leadership ability. Valid California driver’s license, liability insurance meeting minimum state requirements, and a reliable automobile. Must pass background investigation. Bilingual English/Spanish required. 

ON-CALL MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST (Children’s Crisis Residential Program- Laguna Beach) (Up to 40 hours per week, Tuesday – Saturday, No Benefits.).  Responsibilities include:  Provide individual, family and group therapy services to adolescents and their families in short-term crisis residential program.  Services include clinical assessments, therapy, crisis intervention, case management, and referrals.  Includes in home services.  Requirements include:  Master’s Degree in counseling, psychology, social work or related field. Possession of a current and cleared intern number with BBS on the MFT/LCSW track. Experience with Medi-Cal documentation.  Bilingual English/Spanish required. 

TEMPORARY DATA ANALYST/QA SUPERVISOR (Collaborative Courts FSP – Santa Ana) – (Full Time, Estimated duration May 2012 – December 2012. No Benefits). Responsibilities include: Oversee the quality assurance specialist positions and quality assurance coordination for the Collaborative Courts FSP program.  Oversee data entry into Caminar and other data collection formats and submit monthly reports to the Director and County Monitors.  Oversee designated performance outcomes and statistical data for the program.  Oversee appropriate billing/reimbursement to Medi-Cal and third party payers, review clinical progress notes for medical necessity, invoices for Medi-Cal billable charges, and conduct Technical Reviews of all charts.  Attend County Meetings, oversee quality improvement projects assigned by the Program Director and provide technical training to the Quality Assurance department and CCFSP Provider positions.  Requirements include: HS Diploma required, College Degree preferred. Working knowledge of ACCESS and EXCEL programs required.  Medi-Cal Billing and IRIS/PABO/CAMINAR system experience in a clinical or contracted setting is preferred.  Valid California driver’s license, liability insurance meeting minimum state requirements and a satisfactory driving record.

 

COLLABORATIVE COURTS FSP

CASE MANAGEMENT SUPERVISOR (Santa Ana) TEMPORARY POSITION – P/T (Flexible hours between 20-40 hours per week.  Monday – Friday, between 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.  Estimated duration April 2012 through July 2012.  No Benefits).  Responsibilities include:  Using a strength-based approach in the Recovery Model and a wraparound philosophy, oversee a team of coordinators who assist youth and their families with positive youth development by reducing juvenile crime, substance use, emotional distress and impairments resulting from unmanaged mental illness.  Services include clinical assessments, client service plan development, case management, individual and family counseling, crisis intervention, behavior modification plans, referrals to community supports, and direct supervision of a team of coordinators.  Requirements include: Master’s Degree in counseling, psychology, social work or related field.  Possession of a current intern number with BBS on the LMFT/LCSW track or current license with BBS.  Ability to diagnose using the DSM-IV-TR, make accurate assessment of the youth/family’s needs and strengths, and demonstrate the ability to work with a diverse multicultural/ethnic population with mental illness.  Knowledge of Medi-Cal charting required.  Valid California driver’s license, liability insurance meeting minimum state requirements and a satisfactory driving record.  Must be available for on-call coverage for after-hours emergencies.  Evenings and weekends based on consumer needs.

MENTAL HEATLH WORKER (Santa Ana) – F/T.  Responsibilities include:  Plan, organize, and facilitate large and small child and adolescent skill building groups on such topics as social skills, coping skills, independent living skills, and career skills.  Provide 1:1 interventions in program and in the home to assist children and teens with learning and practicing new skills.  Collaborate with clients’ clinicians regarding treatment plans and observed behaviors.  Complete daily progress notes.  Provide transportation for clients.  Requirements include:  Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services field, current California driver’s license, and liability insurance meeting minimum state requirements.  Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.


HUNTINGTON BEACH YOUTH SHELTER

COUNSELOR I (Huntington Beach) – F/T.  Responsibilities include: Assist with family reunification by conducting comprehensive assessments, short-term individual and family therapy, crisis intervention and case management.  Identify resources in client’s community and coordinate successful linkages.  Maintain a community referral base for connection to appropriate services.  Participate in case conferences.  Help youth meet program goals.  Work with clients to create a support network for the youth to return to their family.  Requirements Include:  Bachelor’s degree as well as enrollment in a Master’s level program in counseling, psychology or social work.  Minimum one year related experience.  Master’s Degree preferred.  Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.


VICTIM ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS

ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES COORDINATOR (Santa Ana) – F/T.  Responsibilities include: Coordination of day-to-day operations of the administrative support component of Victim Assistance Programs.  Administrative aspects of restitution services, VAP grant applications, facilitate submission of progress reports, assist with organization and implementation of the annual Victims’ Rights Conference, and take a lead on special projects as assigned.  Requirements include: Bachelor’s Degree and training in administrative and technical skills, standard office procedures, and Microsoft Office computer applications.  Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, ability to work independently.  Must pass background investigation.

PROGRAM DIRECTOR (Santa Ana) – F/T.  Responsibilities include: Management of five Victim/Witness Assistance Centers, CSP’s component of Child Abuse Treatment (ChAT) Program, Victims of Crime Compensation Program, and Restitution Service.  Position oversees all staffing and program development.  Requirements Include:  Bachelor’s Degree in behavior science, criminal justice, management or related field with two or more years experience in program administration, personnel supervision, and grant writing.  Master’s Degree preferred.  Excellent communication skills, project management proficiency, and proven leadership ability.  Valid California driver’s license, liability insurance meeting minimum state requirements, and a reliable automobile.  Must pass background investigation.  Position available late June 2012.

RESTITUTION SPECIALIST (Fullerton) – F/T. Responsibilities include: Assess and verify the amount of restitution owed to crime victims. Coordinate and monitor restitution payments from misdemeanor offenders in Orange County courts. Requirements include:  Basic knowledge of the criminal justice system, excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills, ability to handle payments and keep accurate records. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

VICTIM ADVOCATE (Human Trafficking – Anaheim) – F/T.  Responsibilities include: Responds to victims of human trafficking and their families as required to mitigate the impact of the victimization and/or the case investigation and court appearances.  Provides intensive case management and human trafficking victim services.  Requirements Include:  Bachelor’s Degree in behavior science, criminal justice, or related field and basic knowledge of human trafficking and/or violence against women, criminal justice system, and victimology.  Prior experience working with human trafficking victims is preferred.  Bilingual English/Spanish required.

VICTIM ADVOCATE (Sexual Assault Victim Services – Santa Ana) – F/T.  Responsibilities include: Respond to victims of sexual assault both on the hotline and at the hospital.  Provide victim services, which include, but are not limited to, crisis intervention, court support, resource and referrals while working in partnership with law enforcement and the District Attorney’s Office.  Requirements include: Bachelor’s Degree and completion of the 48 hour Sexual Assault Counselor training as mandated by the State of CA upon employment.  Knowledge regarding victimization and 1 year of experience working as a Victim Advocate or related field preferred.  Requires the ability to be on rotation for 24 hour response to or backup for the hotline and hospital response.  Bilingual English/Spanish required.

WITNESS SPECIALIST (Victim Assistance Programs – Westminster) – F/T.  Responsibilities include: Coordinate witness appearances for the District Attorney’s Office in Westminster. Place witness on-call, provide case status updates, orientation to the criminal justice system.  Entry level position.  Requirements Include:  Excellent customer service and communication skills, knowledge of criminal justice system as usually acquired through AA or BA in criminal justice, human services, etc.  Valid California driver’s license, liability insurance meeting minimum state requirements, and a reliable automobile.  Must pass background investigation.  Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Vietnamese preferred.
