Family Violence Victim Services

The following departments are special partnerships with the respective agencies to provide in depth client services for victims of domestic violence.

Orange County District Attorney

Family Violence Victim Services advocates work along side the family protection Unit located in the Orange county District attorney’s office.  These advocates deal with felony domestic violence, child abuse, as well as other disabled adult abuse cases.  The advocate’s role is to provide assistance by ensuring that the victims fully understand the criminal justice system and are kept up to date on their individual case.  Advocates may also assist the victim by offering court support during all hearings and explaining the various programs that are designed to help victims with restitution, counseling, relocation, medical bills, understanding protective orders, and a victim impact statement.
