Letter from the Executive Director

The "Denim and Diamonds " gala evening was a FUND RAISER and the evening was the culmination of months of Committee work dedicated to producing this very special event and designed to raise money to support CSP Services for youth and children.  These special evenings only come together after months of planning and committee work. Our CSP Gala Committee has worked with a spirit second to none to produce this very beautiful evening. The Committee has been so dedicated that I feel they must be acknowledged front and center so please take a minute and refer to the Committee membership listed and thank them for their generous investment of time and treasure.  The dollars we raised that evening will pay for services that many of our children so desperately need in order to begin coping with problems that impede their healthy development, injure their fragile self confidence and for some lead to mental illness.

 The children are our legacy none of them can be ignored.

There is no question that we owe all of them the care, affectionate regard and the nurturing connectiveness that is critical for their healthy maturation. Your presence confirms that you have joined us in that resolve.

 We are all part of the child equation and we can be part of the necessary solution and we can make a difference. 

 You have the opportunity to support services for the children; the abandoned and abused adolescents searching for love or at the least security. And you can do your part financially to secure the services that they need from the CSP’s two Youth Shelters and the youth programs.  With your sustaining dollars the children can gain access to the counseling they need to “reconnect” with their families and experience the affection and support they need for emotional security. Some of this group will be matched with mentors to enhance weak support systems; all will be provided counseling and workshops in decision making, anger control and violence reduction.

 Your presence at the "Denim & Diamonds" gala and other fundraising events signals the truth they need to hear that they are not alone because you are here and you care about their well being.
