Gang Reduction Intervention Partnership (G.R.I.P.)

CSP is proud to partner with the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, Anaheim Police Department, Buena Park Police Department, Orange Police Department and the Orange County Sheriff’s Department in implementing the Gang Reduction Intervention Partnership (G.R.I.P.).

G.R.I.P. works with numerous school districts within Orange County in implementing targeted gang prevention strategies to at risk youth, families and communities.

The core components of G.R.I.P. include prevention efforts that focus on community engagement and education of faculty, parents and students on the risks and impacts of gang behavior; intervention strategies including STRIKE Team and case management of at risk youth and families; and, enforcement efforts that include truancy and curfew sweeps, as well as, prosecution.

Program staff offer support and resources to students and families and provide the coordination of services among all of the collaborative partners.

G.R.I.P. has proven to be a very successful program, and is truly unique by virtue of the commitment and efforts of such a wide range of collaborative partners. In its most recent report, The Orange County Grand Jury recognized the Anaheim gang prevention program (Anaheim G.R.I.P.) as one of the most effective gang prevention programs in the State of California and recommended that the G.R.I.P. model be expanded throughout Orange County.

CSP currently provides services for the G.R.I.P. Program in the Cities of Anaheim, Buena Park, Fullerton, Orange, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Santa Ana and Stanton. For more information, please contact Program Director, Kristen Gaborno, LMFT at (949) 724-7034.
